Review: Stripe, Silk and a shirtdress

This dress looked so cute online, I had to give it a try. My review below:

What: Midi shirtdress in stripe by J.Crew

When: Fall 2016

How: Silk outer, polyester lining

  1. Look: Simple silhouette, classic and so elegant without trying too hard
  2. Comfort: Very comfortable. I sized up based on reviews on the J.Crew website and am glad I did as I have room to move my arms. Though this dress is made of silk, it is not too light so it should do well in the cooler autumnal weather. The dress hits right past my knees so it should be a true midi length for regular sizes.
  3. Quality: Good. I love the juxtaposition of the stripes, specially around the pockets…Yes, the dress has pockets!

Why Not: May be a tad matronly, depending on how you pair it.

Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper!! What do you say?

  1. Love this dress and it looks like it fits you perfectly. I don’t think matronly when I look at the photo-maybe bc you paired it w/ a contrasting belt. Anyway love the look
