Keeping with my theme this week it seems: checked capris, laced leopard shoes and a simple white tee. Day 7 of 365 completed 🙂
And Day 7 is done🙂 …. 358 more days to go!
What: Lace pants by J.Crew
When: Winter 2016
How (Material): Cotton upper, polyester lining
- Look: Classic straight line, close to the cigarette pants offered few years back. The ankle length with the laces = feminine touch. I think tucking the shirt in gives the best look with these pants. And there are pockets!!
- Comfort: Comfortable but beware as you sit down that your derriere is still covered up.
- Quality: Great quality lace, similar to the pintucked skirt reviewed previously. I am not fond of elastic on pants but it works here. I love the neutral color, would pair well with pretty much any top.
- Sizing: True to size but I’d recommend to size up if you like more room in the hip area. However, when you do so, there is extra room in the leg as you see for me…not sure I like the extra leg room because the look is now different from the J.Crew model.
Why Not (Cons): The back elastic but it is manageable.
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper! What do you say?
What: Ryder pants by J.Crew
Material: 100% cotton with hint of stretch (whatever that means)
Quality: Very good! It’s a substantial and stretchy cotton, no hitch. The blue color is slightly brighter than on the website picture and I love it as it matches well with tops from previous seasons.
Fit: I’d say true to size. There are no tall sizes for these pants, however, the regular did not look too short on me. Love the form fitting shape and they are very comfortable. Fit slightly above waist so no worries to bend down 🙂
Sissi’s verdict: Keeper, especially at the extra sale price.
